A save-the-date website is a digital page that couples share early — usually 6 to 12 months before the wedding — to announce the date and give guests time to plan. It is simpler than a full invitation: just the couple's names, the wedding date, the general location, and a note that the invitation is coming.
When should I send a save-the-date?
For a local wedding, 4 to 6 months before the date is typical. For a destination wedding where guests need to book flights and accommodation, 8 to 12 months is better. The earlier you send, the more lead time guests have to arrange travel.
