What you get with the WeR1 resource platform

The WeR1 approach is based on the idea that newly arrived people who, from an early stage, acquire basic vocational language skills, find it easier to gain employment and settle comfortably in to a new society.

The WeR1 resources have been developed to assist educators, volunteers, and in-company trainers who are interested in, or currently teaching, vocationally oriented language skills to newly arrived people.

The WeR1 resource platform contains a toolkit which consists of a selection of detailed learner centred lesson plans based on Task Based Learning and Content and Language Integrated Learning methodologies, a teacher's handbook providing users with a didactical framework for working with the WeR1 approach, a lesson plan generator, and a professional development guide.

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This website, and its contents, reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.
